With less than 3 days away from the 2020 NFL Draft, we’ll be taking a look at the best fits for the Eagles. This isn’t a big board, that’s why you’ll see some players before others. That means value isn’t taken into consideration, only fit is considered on this list. Also you will see players who’ll probably won’t be available when the Eagles are on the clock.
1. Henry Ruggs III – Wide Receiver – Alabama
Henry Ruggs III is easily the fastest player in the draft. He’d add much needed explosiveness to the offense. He would immediately become the team’s WR1 and one of the key pieces to the offense.
2. Tee Higgins – Wide Receiver – Clemson
Tee Higgins is one of the most complete receivers in the draft. If he ends up in Philly he would be able to do whatever he’s asked to do at a high level.
3. Yetur Gross-Matos – Edge Rusher – Penn State
Although EDGE isn’t the most pressing need for the Eagles, it will soon be. Brandon Graham and Vinny Curry are both 32. Getting someone like Yetur is a dream scenario because he would be able to learn behind the veterans and end up being a star.
4. Grant Delpit – Safety – LSU
After Malcolm Jenkins left a hole at safety was created. Grant Delpit is the best cover Safety in the draft and he would be able to fill that hole.
5. Jerry Jeudy – Wide Receiver – Alabama
Jerry Jeudy has the best route running and separation out of every player in the draft. If he ends up with the Eagles he would be able to bring to the offense one of the things they lacked the most, getting open and generating separation.
6. Ceedee Lamb – Wide Receiver – Oklahoma
Ceedee Lamb has a tremendous run after the catch, that would simplify the offense for Carson Wentz allowing him to throw shorter routes and be safer with the football.
7. Antoine Winfield Jr – Safety – Minnesota
Antoine Winfield Jr would be able to fill in the hole that Malcolm Jenkins left when he signed with the Saints. Winfield isn’t as good in coverage, but he has a nose for the ball and he would provide a lot of turnovers.
8. Jeff Gladney – Cornerback – TCU
Jeff Gladney is a very fast cornerback and a pass breakup machine. If he ends up in Philadelphia he would be able to create a great cornerback duo with Darius Slay. He would also fit that man to man coverage mold.
9. K’Lavon Chaisson – Edge Rusher – LSU
K’Lavon Chaisson needs a little more development, if he gets taken by the Eagles he would be able to learn behind Brandon Graham and then be his replacement.
10. James Proche – Wide Receiver – SMU
One of the biggest problems for the Eagles last year was drops. James Proche has the safest hands in the draft, and he would provide a reliable and clutch target for Wentz.
